

Timothy Carlson
Co-director of IFE, Tim has been involved in IFE administration since 1995, where his particular responsibilities include relations with US institutions and program development outside of France. With a graduate degree in Public Policy from the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton, Tim produces a biweekly e-newsletter on French and European science and science policy, while teaching a course in political philosophy at the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po) and consulting in the field of communications. His research interests include science policy, French rural development, and the philosophy of economics.
Thomas Roman
Thomas Roman is a doctoral candidate in contemporary history at the Institut d’Etudes Politiques in Paris. His area of research covers the connection between youth and nationalism in France during the Belle Epoque, and he is Secretary General of the website www.parutions.com and responsible for the section History and Social Sciences. In addition, Thomas is a researcher at the National Library of France where he is in charge of an archival collection.
